Hi, I’m Dan.

For over a decade, I’ve lived and breathed photography as the former deputy editor for PhotoPlus: The Canon Magazine and a writer for Digital Photo and Practical Photography. Having written over 1,000 articles on photographic techniques, you can rest assured your wedding is in safe hands. My journalism background has also helped me perfect an editorial and reportage style, giving you premium, story-driven and effortless photos.

Whether you are planning a relaxed summer barn wedding, a grand cathedral celebration, or an intimate elopement, I adapt my coverage entirely to each unique venue and couple’s preferences. From my home base in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, I regularly travel up to two hours for weddings. Please do drop me a line if your venue is further away, as I am happy to consider these, too.

Effortless and laid back

My shooting style is laid-back and focuses on capturing genuine, candid emotion. I don't want you to feel awkward or stiff in front of the lens. That’s why I love meeting up early on and doing a relaxed engagement session. These are a brilliant fun trial run to shake off the nerves, build trust, and help me understand exactly what makes you both tick before the big day arrives. If we feel I’m not the right photographer for you, I will of course be sad but that’s totally fine – I understand it’s super important to get the right person to document your wedding.

Because weddings are live events, I know that plans can change in an instant. Whether the timeline runs behind or the classic British weather brings sudden showers, my deep technical background and experience means I don’t panic. I’ll have a back-up plan ready to go to keep your day stress-free and your photos looking spectacular, no matter what happens.
